Specialist Obstetrician & Gynecologist

Responsibilities

* Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of obstetric and gynecological conditions.

* Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

* Manage routine and high-risk pregnancies.

Assess and manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies*.

* Provide appropriate emergency care for complications during pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period.

* Perform routine gynecological assessments and procedures within the scope of practice.

* Monitor fetal and maternal wellbeing and provide appropriate management and follow-up.

* Assist with normal and complicated deliveries as required.

* Diagnose and manage common gynecological conditions.

* Provide counselling and education to patients regarding treatment options and pregnancy care.

* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate patient follow-up.

* Work collaboratively with obstetricians, gynecologists, midwives, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

* Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology*.

* Recognised specialist qualification eligible for licensing in the UAE.

Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience* in Obstetrics & Gynecology.

* Strong experience in general obstetrics and gynecology.

* Proven experience in obstetric and gynecological emergency management is required.

* Experience in high-risk pregnancy management and emergency obstetric care.

* Experience in labour ward management and delivery is desirable.

* Eligibility for Specialist-level licensing with DHA, DOH, MOHAP, or the relevant UAE health authority.
