Consultant Reproductive Medicine IVF

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with male and female infertility

• Perform comprehensive fertility assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

• Manage IVF and ICSI treatment cycles

• Perform ovulation induction and controlled ovarian stimulation

• Perform ultrasound monitoring and follicular assessments

• Perform oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer where appropriately qualified

• Manage patients undergoing assisted reproductive treatments

• Provide pre-treatment and post-treatment counselling and follow-up

• Manage complex infertility cases and recurrent implantation failure

• Collaborate with embryologists, andrologists, geneticists, and other specialists

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and departmental development initiatives

• Support teaching and training activities where required
  

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine / IVF

• Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Reproductive Medicine / IVF

• Significant experience in IVF and assisted reproductive technologies

• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP

• Extensive experience in IVF and ICSI

• Experience managing complex infertility cases

• Proficiency in ovarian stimulation and fertility treatment protocols

• Experience with oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer

• Strong knowledge of assisted reproductive technologies

• Excellent patient counselling and communication skills

• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making abilities

• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary fertility team

• Strong leadership, collaboration, and teamwork skills
