  • Assess patients requiring long-term oxygen therapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, and other supportive respiratory treatments.

  • Perform diagnostic flexible bronchoscopy and relevant respiratory procedures where trained and credentialed.

  • Interpret chest radiographs, high-resolution CT scans, and other thoracic imaging studies in collaboration with radiologists.

  • Provide specialist outpatient consultations and inpatient management for patients with pulmonary hypertension and other complex respiratory conditions.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary pulmonary hypertension meetings involving pulmonologists, cardiologists, radiologists, rheumatologists, and other specialists.

  • Collaborate with cardiology teams in evaluating right ventricular function, haemodynamic abnormalities, and associated cardiovascular conditions.

  • Coordinate referral to specialised pulmonary hypertension centres for advanced therapies, complex interventions, or lung transplantation assessment when indicated.

  • Provide comprehensive counselling regarding disease progression, medication adherence, exercise recommendations, pregnancy-related risks, and long-term management.

  • Educate patients and families regarding warning signs of clinical deterioration and the importance of regular specialist follow-up.

  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation, pulmonary hypertension classification, haemodynamic findings, treatment plans, and follow-up assessments.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, respiratory care protocols, medication safety requirements, and patient safety standards.

  • Participate in pulmonary hypertension clinical audits, treatment outcome monitoring, research activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
