Consultant Pediatric Neurologist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant in Pediatric Neurology to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Al Ain, UAE. The successful candidate will provide expert care for infants, children, and adolescents with neurological disorders, ensuring comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of complex neurological conditions.

The role involves managing a wide range of pediatric neurological cases, including epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, neuromuscular diseases, cerebral palsy, neurogenetic conditions, and acute neurological emergencies. The Consultant will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatrics, neurosurgery, rehabilitation, and intensive care, to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. Responsibilities also include interpreting advanced neurodiagnostic investigations (EEG, EMG, neuroimaging), contributing to clinical governance, developing clinical protocols, and supporting continuous quality improvement within the service in Al Ain.

   Requirments

  • Recognised specialist qualification in Pediatrics with subspecialty training in Pediatric Neurology (e.g. CCT, CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, FRCPCH, or equivalent recognised by UAE health authorities)
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Neurology following completion of Pediatrics specialty training
  • Minimum of 5+ years of Consultant-level experience in Pediatric Neurology within a tertiary care hospital
  • Strong experience in managing complex pediatric neurological disorders, including epilepsy and neurodevelopmental conditions
  • Proficiency in interpreting EEG, neuroimaging, and other neurodiagnostic studies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
