We are seeking a distinguished Consultant Ophthalmologist with subspecialty expertise in Oculoplastic Surgery to join a progressive clinical environment dedicated to delivering advanced, patient-centred ophthalmic care.
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in managing eyelid, lacrimal and orbital disorders, with the ability to provide comprehensive oculoplastic services including both functional and aesthetic procedures.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of oculoplastic, eyelid, lacrimal and orbital conditions
- Perform advanced oculoplastic procedures, including eyelid reconstruction, blepharoplasty and eyelid tumour management
- Assess and manage orbital disorders and periocular diseases
- Perform lacrimal system evaluation and surgical interventions when required
- Manage complex ophthalmic cases requiring multidisciplinary collaboration
- Develop personalised, evidence-based treatment plans for patients
- Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement initiatives
- Support departmental education, training and service development
Qualifications
- Board certification in Ophthalmology
- Fellowship or advanced training in Oculoplastic Surgery
- Recognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Ophthalmology with significant oculoplastic practice
- Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH or MOHAP
