Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological assessment, diagnosis, and management

• Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care

• Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of gynecological conditions

• Perform routine and advanced gynecological procedures and surgeries within the candidate’s scope of expertise

• Manage complex obstetric and gynecological cases

• Perform and interpret appropriate ultrasound assessments where qualified

• Manage patients with menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, and other gynecological conditions

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care

• Provide counselling on contraception, reproductive health, and women’s health

• Collaborate with midwives, neonatologists, anesthetists, and other multidisciplinary specialists

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and departmental development initiatives

• Support teaching and training activities where required

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Significant experience in managing obstetric and gynecological cases

• Strong experience in obstetric and gynecological procedures and surgery

• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
