Consultant OBGYN (Urogynaecology)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology with subspecialty in Urogynaecology to join a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Al Ain, UAE. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of female pelvic floor disorders and complex urogynecological conditions.

The role involves managing a wide range of conditions including urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, recurrent urinary tract infections, and postpartum pelvic floor dysfunction. The Consultant will perform advanced diagnostic assessments such as urodynamic studies and pelvic floor evaluations, as well as minimally invasive and surgical procedures including pelvic reconstructive surgery, sling procedures, and prolapse repair.

The position requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including urology, colorectal surgery, physiotherapy, and radiology to ensure comprehensive, patient-centred care. The Consultant will also contribute to outpatient clinics, surgical services, clinical governance, protocol development, and continuous quality improvement within the women’s health service in Al Ain.

The role requires advanced training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology followed by fellowship training in Urogynaecology, along with extensive experience managing complex pelvic floor disorders in a tertiary care setting.

   Requirments

  • Recognised specialist qualification in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (e.g. CCT, CCST, American Board, Canadian Board, FRCOG, or equivalent recognised by UAE health authorities)
  • Fellowship or subspecialty training in Urogynaecology following completion of OBGYN specialty training
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Consultant-level experience in Urogynaecology within a tertiary care hospital
  • Strong experience in managing pelvic floor disorders, including urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse
  • Proficiency in diagnostic procedures such as urodynamic studies and pelvic floor assessment
  • Experience in performing urogynecological surgical and minimally invasive procedures (e.g. sling procedures, pelvic reconstructive surgery)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
