Evaluate and manage patients with complex intracranial and spinal pathologies requiring surgical or non-surgical intervention.
Perform advanced neurosurgical procedures, including cranial and spinal surgeries, according to clinical indications and approved surgical privileges.
Diagnose and surgically manage intracranial tumours, including primary brain tumours, meningiomas, and other intracranial lesions.
Perform craniotomies and other appropriate intracranial surgical procedures using established microsurgical and advanced neurosurgical techniques.
Assess and manage patients with traumatic brain injuries, intracranial haemorrhage, skull fractures, and other acute neurosurgical emergencies.
Provide surgical management of spinal disorders, including spinal cord compression, degenerative spine disease, intervertebral disc herniation, spinal stenosis, and selected spinal tumours.
Perform spinal decompression, discectomy, laminectomy, and spinal stabilisation procedures where clinically indicated and within approved surgical privileges.
Evaluate and manage patients with hydrocephalus and other cerebrospinal fluid circulation disorders, including appropriate surgical interventions such as ventricular shunting.
Diagnose and manage intracranial and spinal infections requiring neurosurgical assessment or intervention.
Assess patients with cerebrovascular neurosurgical conditions, including intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and other vascular abnormalities, coordinating specialised treatment when required.
Participate in the surgical management of cerebrovascular conditions where appropriately trained and credentialed.
Perform microsurgical and minimally invasive neurosurgical procedures using advanced operative techniques where clinically appropriate.
Utilise neuronavigation, operative microscopy, intraoperative imaging, and neurophysiological monitoring where available and clinically indicated.
Evaluate and manage patients with peripheral nerve compression syndromes, nerve injuries, and other peripheral nervous system disorders requiring surgical intervention.
Assess patients with complex neurological symptoms and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations, including MRI, CT, CT angiography, and other neuroimaging studies.
Develop and implement individualised surgical and non-surgical treatment plans based on clinical assessment, diagnostic findings, and evidence-based neurosurgical guidelines.
