We are seeking an experienced Consultant Infectious Diseases Specialist with Infection Control experience to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The successful candidate will provide specialized care for patients with infectious diseases and play a key role in developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control programs to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of infectious disease cases.
- Manage complex acute and chronic infections, including healthcare-associated infections.
- Develop, review, and implement infection prevention and control policies in line with international standards.
- Monitor and evaluate infection control programs and practices within the healthcare facility.
- Provide specialist consultation to different departments regarding infectious disease management.
- Participate in infection control committees, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs.
- Educate and train healthcare staff on infection prevention practices and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Support the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programs.
