We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing high-acuity and critically ill patients, with extensive experience in a busy Emergency Department and the ability to independently manage undifferentiated emergency cases.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive emergency medicine care across a wide range of adult and pediatric presentations, with a strong focus on rapid assessment, stabilization, resuscitation, and the management of critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of acute and emergency presentations.
Independently manage critically ill and undifferentiated patients* in a high-acuity Emergency Department.
* Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency interventions as required.
* Manage medical, surgical, traumatic, and other emergency conditions.
* Provide advanced airway and emergency resuscitation care within the scope of practice.
* Coordinate care and disposition of patients requiring admission, observation, transfer, or specialist review.
* Work collaboratively with intensivists, surgeons, pediatricians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
* Provide appropriate emergency care to both adult and pediatric patients where within scope of practice.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate patient follow-up.
* Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.
* Contribute to teaching, training, and mentoring of junior medical staff where applicable.
Qualifications
Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine*.
Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience* in Emergency Medicine.
Substantial recent experience in a high-acuity Emergency Department*.
Proven ability to independently manage critically ill and undifferentiated patients*.
Dual board certification in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Medicine* is highly desirable.
* Strong experience in emergency resuscitation, stabilization, and acute care.
Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, MOHAP*, or the relevant UAE health authority.
