We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine to join a leading healthcare institution in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and critical medical conditions, with a strong focus on emergency care, trauma management, and patient stabilization.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality emergency services through rapid assessment, evidence-based clinical decision-making, advanced resuscitation skills, and effective management of complex emergency presentations. This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment alongside multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the delivery and development of advanced emergency care services.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute and emergency medical conditions
- Provide immediate care, stabilization, and treatment for critically ill and injured patients
- Perform advanced life support and emergency resuscitation procedures
- Manage trauma cases, medical emergencies, and complex acute presentations
- Coordinate patient care with specialists, intensive care teams, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Ensure timely clinical decision-making and appropriate patient disposition
- Participate in emergency department quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activities
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation
- Support teaching, training, and professional development activities where required
Qualifications
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine or equivalent recognised qualification
- Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, or equivalent recognised qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Emergency Medicine
- Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
