Consultant Dermatologist & Cosmetologist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic dermatological conditions

• Diagnose and manage acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, pigmentation disorders, and other common skin conditions

• Assess and manage hair and scalp disorders, including different forms of alopecia and hair loss

• Diagnose and manage nail disorders and other dermatological conditions

• Evaluate and manage benign and suspicious skin lesions and provide appropriate treatment or referral

• Provide comprehensive cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology consultations

• Perform injectable aesthetic treatments, including botulinum toxin and dermal fillers

• Perform appropriate laser and energy-based aesthetic procedures

• Provide treatments for pigmentation, acne scars, skin rejuvenation, and other cosmetic skin concerns

• Perform chemical peels, microneedling, and other appropriate aesthetic procedures

• Develop individualized cosmetic treatment plans based on patient needs, clinical assessment, and expected outcomes

• Assess patient suitability for cosmetic procedures and provide appropriate pre- and post-procedure counselling

• Recognize and manage potential complications associated with dermatological and aesthetic procedures

• Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and procedural care

• Provide appropriate inpatient consultations and outpatient dermatology services where required

• Coordinate care with plastic surgeons, rheumatologists, oncologists, pathologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists when appropriate

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, and departmental development initiatives

• Support teaching, training, and mentoring activities where required

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Dermatology

• Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Dermatology

• Significant experience managing a broad range of medical dermatological conditions

• Strong hands-on experience in cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology procedures

• Demonstrated experience with injectables, laser treatments, and other non-surgical aesthetic procedures

• Strong experience in both clinical dermatology and cosmetology

• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DOH or the relevant UAE healthcare regulatory authority

• Required specialty/title: Dermatology & Cosmetology – Consultant

• Female candidates are preferred; however, suitably qualified male candidates may also be considered
