Consultant Dermatologist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical and dermatological conditions.

• Provide comprehensive medical dermatology consultations and individualized treatment plans.

• Perform cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology consultations and procedures within the candidate’s scope of practice.

• Provide treatments for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, acne scarring, age-related skin changes, and other aesthetic concerns.

• Perform aesthetic procedures such as injectables, chemical peels, laser treatments, and other non-surgical cosmetic procedures where qualified.

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate aesthetic treatment plans based on individual needs and clinical suitability.

• Manage common and complex skin, hair, and nail conditions.

• Diagnose and treat inflammatory, autoimmune, infectious, pigmentary, and other dermatological disorders.

• Monitor treatment outcomes and manage any complications appropriately.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate patient follow-up.

• Provide clear patient counselling regarding treatment options, expected outcomes, risks, and aftercare.

• Work collaboratively with plastic surgeons, aesthetic physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Dermatology.

• Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including eligible ABMS certification, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board certification, or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Dermatology.

• Strong experience in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dermatology.

• Proven experience in non-surgical aesthetic procedures and treatments.

• Experience with laser, injectables, skin rejuvenation, and other aesthetic treatments is highly desirable.

• Strong background in general and medical dermatology.

• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, MOHAP, or the relevant UAE health authority.
