Consultant Dermatologist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of acute and chronic dermatological conditions

• Perform comprehensive dermatological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

• Manage complex medical, inflammatory, autoimmune, and infectious skin disorders

• Diagnose and manage conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails

• Perform dermatological procedures within the candidate’s scope of expertise

• Evaluate suspicious skin lesions and manage patients requiring further investigation or treatment

• Perform and interpret dermoscopy where appropriately qualified

• Manage chronic dermatological conditions and provide long-term follow-up

• Provide appropriate patient counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and skin health

• Collaborate with plastic surgeons, oncologists, rheumatologists, paediatricians, and other specialists where required

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and departmental development initiatives

• Support teaching and training activities where required

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Dermatology

• Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Dermatology

• Significant experience in managing complex dermatological conditions

• Strong clinical and procedural dermatology experience

• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
