Consultant Dermatologist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions

• Provide comprehensive medical dermatology consultations and treatment plans

• Diagnose and manage complex skin, hair, and nail disorders

• Perform minor dermatological procedures and biopsies where appropriately qualified

• Manage common and complex inflammatory, autoimmune, infectious, and pigmentary skin conditions

• Evaluate and manage acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, and other dermatological disorders

• Assess suspicious skin lesions and coordinate appropriate investigations and treatment

• Provide comprehensive patient counselling regarding diagnosis, treatment, and long-term skin health

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and diagnostic findings

• Collaborate with plastic surgeons, oncologists, allergists, pathologists, and other specialists where required

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and departmental development initiatives

• Support teaching and training activities where required
  

Qualifications

• Board certification or recognised specialist qualification in Dermatology

• Recognised Tier 1 specialist qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, European Board, or an equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Dermatology

• Strong clinical experience in medical and general dermatology

• Experience in dermatological procedures is highly desirable

• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP
